The Woodland Shrooms tote bag is the latest addition to my range of eye catching and durable tote bags. A dense pattern of various mushrooms and fungi, surrounded by patches of moss has been printed on a sandy beige background. Each mushroom tote bag has been printed onto durable and machine washable cotton fabric to ensure it will last you for a long time.

The playful pattern of woodland mushrooms and fungi features a large range of my handprinted illustrations. A bold red Fly Agaric mushroom is placed in the centre of the bag, surrounded by Chanterelles, Pink Oyster mushrooms, Inkcap mushrooms and an occasional snail or slug crawling through here and there. The Woodland Shrooms tote bag is made from very strong cotton fabric which you can machine wash at 40 degrees in case your bag should get dirty. If you have a closer look at the bag, you will notice the stitching on the bag and especially the handles has been done really well. That way you can carry all of your essentials around with you that won’t fit into a small handbag: your water bottle, a book, an umbrella and even a small picnic blanket. So if you love a stroll around your local farmers market or spending the day in the park, then this mushroom tote bag is your perfect companion. On the outside, in one of the corners you will find my signature teal coloured AMPellegrini Art & Design label sewn into the hem. Featuring rich earthy tones of green and red, this mushroom tote bag sets itself apart from my other blue, purple, and floral-themed designs. All of the illustrations for the mushroom tea towel have been hand painted and developed into a print design by myself, Anna-Maria Pellegrini. I mainly work from my studio in East London, in the UK. My background in textile design engineering means that the quality of the materials and the print are at the core of my practice. Combining bold and storytelling print designs printed onto durable and functional fabrics is the idea behind my British made tote bags range. The textiles manufacturer I work with is based in England and prints and makes the tote bags to my specifications. Over the past few years we have developed a great business relationship and both are keen to support the economy in the UK.

Each mushroom tote bag is neatly folded with a swing tag attached to one of the handles. The tag contains the washing and care information, so best not to throw it away straight away. Every tote bag will then be carefully wrapped in tissue paper and sent as parcel. Please note that the delivery fee is applied at checkout once you have entered your delivery country and address.

My textile manufacturer and myself recommend the following to make sure your tote bag lasts you for a long time:
wash your tote bag at 40 degrees
let it air dry; do not tumble dry
(steam) iron your tea towel at a low to medium heat after turning the back inside out
do not use bleach
do not excessively wring the tote bag
Please note: if you decide to wash your tote bag at a higher temperature as well as iron and tumble dry it at high heat, the material and print will wear off quicker.

The Parasol mushrooms originally have been hand painted and then developed into a print design for the beautifully textured stone tile coasters. If you look closely, you can see the finest paint brush strokes in the print which beautifully work with the organic and irregular texture of the marble.

This friendly trio of Winecaps has originally been hand painted and then printed onto the beautiful organic looking stone tile. If you have a closer look, you can see the tiniest paint brush strokes within the cap and stem of the mushroom which blend in perfectly with the texture of the marble. The round and soft shapes of the mushrooms give this design a lovely character.
