This allover printed adult apron is part of the My Mother’s Garden collection. The apron features a wide range of garden flowers including red poppies, lavender, pink roses and blue hydrangeas. A beautiful Peacock butterfly catches your eye in the centre of the design. The light pale green background with ferns growing over it creates a calm base for the print. Each garden print apron is made from a durable and machine washable cotton fabric which means it is beautiful yet practical at the same time.

All of the illustrations for this garden print apron originally have been hand painted with acrylic paint: from the fuchsia pink rose, the bold red poppies and soft pink columbines. A cheeky Robbin is stopping briefly, resting in between the blue hydrangeas. If you look closely you can also discover a Blue Tit hiding amidst the Forget-me-nots. Bees and bumble bees are buzzing through the garden enjoying the lavender flowers. The subtle texture of the cotton fabric emphasises the depth of the light green watercolour background. This garden themed apron would make a lovely gift for your mum.

This garden themed apron is made from a strong, durable cotton fabric. The weave of the cotton is loose enough to allow the fabric to absorb liquids when you quickly need to wipe your hands while you are cooking. The storytelling busy pattern easily will disguise any stains that might not come off in the wash, so your My Mother’s Garden apron will stay beautiful for a long time. Each garden apron has adjustable neck straps which means it will fit nicely for people of different heights. Having a closer look at the finishing of this gorgeous cotton apron, you will notice that the edges are neatly hemmed with a double hem so that the fabric does not fray. Flipping the apron on its back, you can find a care label and my signature AMPellegrini Art & Design label sewn in near the straps.

All of the illustrations for the My Mother’s Garden apron have been hand painted and developed into a print design by myself, Anna-Maria Pellegrini. I mainly work from my studio in East London, in the UK. My background in textile design engineering means that the quality of the materials and the print are at the core of my practice. Combining bold and storytelling print designs with durable and functional textiles was the idea behind my British made kitchen textiles range. I work together with en England based textiles manufacturer who prints and makes the aprons to my specifications for me. Over the past few years we have developed a great business relationship and both are keen to support the economy in the UK.

All My Mother’s Garden aprons are neatly folded with a bellyband around in my London studio. The bellyband contains the washing and care instructions, which can also be found on the care label sewn into the side of the apron. Each apron will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper and then sent in a flat envelop or parcel, depending on the quantity of items and weight of your order. Please note that the delivery fee is applied at checkout once you have entered your delivery country and address.

My textile manufacturer and myself recommend the following to make sure your apron lasts you for a long time:
wash apron at 40 degrees
let it air dry
(steam) iron your tea towel at a low to medium heat from the back side
do not use bleach
do not excessively wring the tea towel
Please note: if you decide to wash your apron at a higher temperature as well as iron and tumble dry it at high heat, the material and print will wear off quicker.
