Each garden oven glove is made from a durable and machine washable cotton fabric with a light beige heat resistant towelling on the back which makes them beautiful and practical at the same time.

All of the illustrations for these printed garden double oven gloves originally have been hand painted with acrylic paint: from the fuchsia pink rose, the bold red poppies and soft pink columbines. Bees and bumble bees are buzzing through the garden enjoying the lavender flowers. The subtle texture of the cotton fabric emphasises the depth of the light green watercolour background. The dense, colourful print design will disguise any stains that might not come off in the wash. These double oven gloves with the My Mother’s Garden design are made from a strong, durable cotton fabric on the front and a heat proof towelling fabric on the back. On each end of the oven gloves, there is a hand pocket so you can easily handle your hot oven trays and pots. The storytelling garden design easily will disguise any stains that might not come off in the wash, so your My Mother’s Garden double oven gloves will stay beautiful for a long time. Each floral garden oven glove has a practical hanging loop in the centre, so you either hang it over your oven rail or over a hook or knob. Having a closer look at the finishing of these pretty oven gloves, you will notice that the edges are neatly hemmed and piped so that the fabric does not fray.
On the front of the oven glove where you can see the pink rose, you can find my signature AMPellegrini Art & Design label sewn into the hem. The garden themed double oven gloves would look great in a cottage style kitchen. They make a lovely gift for your mum that loves nature and gardening.
All of the illustrations for the My Mother’s Garden oven gloves have been hand painted and developed into a print design by myself, Anna-Maria Pellegrini. I mainly work from my studio in East London, in the UK. My background in textile design engineering means that the quality of the materials and the print are at the core of my practice. Combining bold and storytelling print designs with durable and functional textiles was the idea behind my British made kitchen textiles range. I work together with en England based textiles manufacturer who prints and makes the oven gloves to my specifications for me. Over the past few years we have developed a great business relationship and both are keen to support the economy in the UK.

All My Mother’s Garden oven gloves are neatly folded with a bellyband around in my London studio. The bellyband contains the washing and care instructions, which can also be found on the care label sewn inside one of the pockets. Each oven glove will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper and then sent as a parcel, depending on the quantity of items and weight of your order. Please note that the delivery fee is applied at checkout once you have entered your delivery country and address.

My textile manufacturer and myself recommend the following to make sure your oven gloves last you for a long time:
wash at 40 degrees
let it air dry
(steam) iron your oven gloves at a low to medium heat from the back side
do not use bleach
do not excessively wring the tea towel
Please note: if you decide to wash your oven gloves at a higher temperature as well as iron and tumble dry it at high heat, the material and print will wear off quicker.
