All of the illustrations for this printed garden tea towel originally have been hand painted with acrylic paint: from the fuchsia pink rose, the bold red poppies and soft pink columbines. A cheeky Robbin is stopping briefly, resting in between the blue hydrangeas. If you look closely you can also discover a Blue Tit hiding amidst the Forget-me-nots. Bees and bumble bees are buzzing through the garden enjoying the lavender flowers. The subtle texture of the cotton fabric emphasises the depth of the light green watercolour background. This 100% Cotton Tea Towel is the ideal gift for a mum that loves gardening and nature. It adds an artistic and joyful touch to any home and kitchen. The tea towel can be used to dry your dishes as the cotton absorbs water very well. The My Mother’s Garden printed Tea Towel also makes a great centre piece or table cloth for a small table, such as a garden or coffee table. The natural and soft cotton fabric soaks up water nicely, but will dry quickly when it gets damp. The fabric edges have been folded over twice before hemming, to give the tea towel a neat and clean finish also from the back side. On the back, the tea towel features a cotton hanging loop in the top right corner and the signature teal coloured AMPellegrini Art & Design fabric label in the top left corner. When laid out flat, these are not visible from the front.

The tea towel comes neatly folded with a belly band wrapped around, which contains washing and care instructions. It is then carefully tissue wrapped and sent in a flat enveloped. Anna-Maria Pellegrini has painted all the acrylic illustrations and created the design for the My Mother’s Garden tea towel in her East London studio. The tea towel is entirely Made in the UK - from printing to the final stitches - and then carefully wrapped, packed and dispatched by Anna-Maria.
There will be a shipping fee applied at the checkout which is around £2.30 for UK Standard delivery, but will increase if you add more items to your shopping cart as shipping rates depend on the weight of the products. There are several shipping options available to choose from at checkout.

My textile manufacturer and myself recommend the following to make sure your tea towel lasts you for a long time:
wash your tea towel at 40 degrees
let it air dry or tumble dry on the delicates setting to prevent shrinking
(steam) iron your tea towel at a low to medium heat from the back side
do not use bleach
do not excessively wring the tea towel
Please note: if you decide to wash your tea towel at a higher temperature as well as iron and tumble dry it at high heat, the material and print will wear off quicker.
